When closing your candidate/candidates ... walk him/her/them thru the following exercise to ensure he/she does what is best for their career (it may not be your opportunity)

There are a number of factors you and your family will take into consideration when making your decision.  Here are but a few of them:

1) Company - on the rise?
2) Vision - does the CEO have it?
3) People - self explanatory - do they have great people ... as people make the difference!
4) Opportunity - for you ... short term and long term
5) Mentor/Boss/Leadership - can they make you better?
6) Business model/footprint
7) Technology and resources (to be successful)
8) Organizational feel/culture
9) Money/financial independence down the road
10) Career path ...
11) Travel/proximity to home etc. ...
12) Others

You can probably find reasons to rule out every company you are looking at ... you can probably find reasons to rule in every company you are looking at.

You have your gut feel ... perhaps it would be a good exercise to rank order the above criteria ... and assign a point value ... and truly determine what is most important to you and yours ... as well.  No company is perfect ... my personal and professional recommendation is to look at the positive/upside ... and the people - how have they handled themselves in the process - integrity/honesty etc. ... a leopard doesn't change its spots.  Which company has differentiated itself/themselves from the competition in your quantitative measurement ... and in your heart/mind/gut etc.

All the best in your decision ... Hopefully the aforementioned info along with your experience/expertise ... enables you to make the right decision ... based on the right reasons ... and you never look back ... and can dominate and be the best in your next role ...
